St Joseph’s College Student, Isaiah, Wins Award for Exceptional Contribution to the Community

Exceptional Contribution to the Community by an Indigenous Boarding Student

Isaiah, St Joseph’s College, Hunters Hill, NSW

Isaiah has consistently contributed to the St Joseph’s College community and is highly regarded by his peers and his teachers.

His leadership potential was recognised in his second year at the College when he was asked to participate in the SJC Colo Outdoor Education Leadership Program. 

In 2018, Isaiah undertook at 10-day trip in his holidays to the Kimberley region in Western Australia. Here, Isaiah engaged with the local community in Broome, working at the Drop-In Centre. Upon returning from this trip, Isaiah set about fundraising for the Drop-In Centre and was able to raise just under $2000, providing better facilities for the students who attend.
