The Symposium and Awards Presentation in Geelong are still going ahead despite recent events.

The small number of delegates and the boutique nature of the venues are key factors.

Up to 90 delegates will gather at the Geelong Conference Centre where they will be the only group to occupy the entire centre that is surrounded by park lands.

At the Awards Presentation dinner at The Pier, Geelong, the gathering of up to 90 guests will be the only function at the venue and guests will be able to take in water and city views from the terrace as well as from the floor to ceiling glassed dining room and lobby areas.
You may also note that there is no change to the information below that was circulated to delegates last week.

Coronavirus policy

IEBA recognise that the coronavirus has caused a public health concern.

IEBA plans to proceed with all organised events, including the National Indigenous Education and Boarding Symposium and Indigenous Boarding Awards presentation dinner, unless there are restrictions on public gatherings under the directives of the National Chief Medical Officer or the relevant State Chief Medical Officers.

On the occasion of such a directive, IEBA will retain all registration funds and the event will be rescheduled to a future date. In the situation where this will cause hardship or due to the inability to attend a rescheduled event, IEBA will refund the registration fee, less an administrative charge.
